2. General information on data processing
Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. I process personal data only insofar as this is necessary to provide this website, respond to enquiries, or initiate and perform a contractual relationship.
No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place. The purely informational content of this website can be used without actively providing personal data; technically necessary access data remains unaffected.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. When the website is accessed, the following data in particular is processed:
- IP address of the accessing device
- Date and time of access
- Page or file requested
- Amount of data transferred
- Referrer URL
- Browser type and version
- Operating system used
This processing serves to provide and stabilise the website technically, ensure system security, prevent abusive access and analyse errors. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interests are a secure, stable and functional website.
Hetzner processes the data as a processor on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR. The servers are located in Germany. No personal data is transferred to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area in connection with the hosting.
Server log data is stored only for as long as is necessary to provide and secure the service or for as long as statutory obligations require further retention. It is then deleted or anonymised.
4. Contact by email or contact form
If you contact me by email or through the contact form, I process the data you provide in order to handle and respond to your enquiry. This may include your name, email address, an optional phone number, the content of your message and preferred appointment times.
Where your contact concerns the initiation or performance of a contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other enquiries are processed pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of my legitimate interest in handling incoming communications appropriately.
Your name, email address and message are required so that I can assign and respond to your enquiry. Providing a phone number is voluntary. Without the required information, the enquiry cannot be processed through the contact form.
Email communication is handled through a dedicated mail server operated on Hetzner Online GmbH infrastructure in Germany. Message content is not transferred to recipients outside the EU or EEA.
The data is deleted once the enquiry has been conclusively dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations or the need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims prevent deletion.
5. Health data and other special categories of personal data
The general contact form and unencrypted email communication are not intended for the transmission of detailed health data or other particularly sensitive information. Please limit your initial message to your contact details and a general description of your enquiry.
If you nevertheless voluntarily disclose health data or other special categories of personal data, it will be processed only if you have expressly consented beforehand to processing for the specific stated purpose or if another exception under Article 9(2) GDPR applies. Where processing is based on consent, the legal bases are Articles 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a) GDPR. Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
Where required, data subjects receive separate privacy information regarding the data processed in connection with the actual psychosocial support service.
6. Recipients and processors
Hetzner Online GmbH receives personal data as a processor in connection with the hosting and technical provision of this website. Personal data is otherwise disclosed only where this is necessary to perform a contract, required by law, covered by your consent, or permitted by an overriding legitimate interest.
7. Spam protection of the contact form (cookie-free)
To protect the contact form against misuse and spam, a self-hosted, cookie-free mechanism is used: when you open a page containing the contact form, your browser solves a small, imperceptible computational task in the background (a so-called proof of work). No external services such as captcha providers are involved and no cookies are set.
To limit the frequency of submissions, your IP address is kept for no more than one hour and exclusively in the form of a non-reversible check value derived with a random key (HMAC hash) in the server's volatile memory; the IP address itself is not stored and is not passed on to third parties. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is a functional contact form that is protected against misuse.
8. Cookies, tracking, fonts and external links
This website does not use analytics or marketing tools, tracking cookies or social media plugins. No cookies are set – including by the spam protection described in section 7. Fonts and other static components are provided locally or as system fonts; simply accessing the website therefore does not establish a connection to an external font service.
The website contains ordinary links to external social media services. Only when you click such a link do you leave this website, and the respective provider may process personal data under its own privacy policy.
If consent-based cookies, comparable storage technologies or external services are used in the future, they will be activated only after any required consent has been obtained, and this privacy policy will be amended accordingly.
9. Data security
I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, alteration and unauthorised access. Transmission between your browser and this website is encrypted using SSL/TLS.
Ordinary email communication is not equivalent to end-to-end encryption, despite encrypted transport routes. Please therefore do not send detailed sensitive information by email.
10. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the following rights in particular:
- Access to your personal data (Article 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Article 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data (Article 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Article 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing (Article 21 GDPR)
Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to it at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. To exercise your rights, simply contact me using the details above.
11. Right to lodge a complaint
Under Article 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia is a competent authority (www.ldi.nrw.de).
12. Minors
The services are primarily aimed at adults. Where consent is required for the processing of a minor's personal data, it will be obtained from the person legally authorised to provide it.
13. Status and amendments
This privacy policy was last updated in August 2026.
Changes to the website, the services used or the applicable law may require this privacy policy to be amended. The current version is available on this page at all times.
